What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a forward-focused partnership that helps you get clear on what you want, understand what's getting in the way, and take practical steps toward it. Dana Peters works with women and couples in Lafayette, CA and online, most often around life transitions, relationships, and changing family roles.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching and therapy are both valuable, and they do different things. Coaching helps you clarify what you want in your life, relationships and other domains of your life. It also helps you identify what's been holding you back. Coaching can help you work through a transition or adjustment period, and build a practical path toward it. Therapy is often focused on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Dana Peters Coaching provides coaching, not therapy, diagnosis, or clinical treatment.

What happens in the free consultation?

The free 30-minute consultation is a chance to talk about what's bringing you in, ask questions, and decide together whether coaching is the right fit. There's no cost and no commitment.

What happens in a first session?

Your first session focuses on what brings you in and the bigger picture of what's shifting in your life. Together, you'll get clear on what you want to be different and map out how you'll work toward it.

How much does coaching cost?

Individual coaching sessions are $225 for 60 minutes. Couples coaching sessions are $300 for 60 minutes. Your first 30-minute consultation is free. Pre-purchase packages are available.

Do you work with couples, or only individuals?

Both. Dana works one-on-one with women and with couples, in person in Lafayette and online. Couples coaching focuses on communication, navigating transitions together, and changing family roles.
